Make sure you install Control Point on a WEB front end server. Be sure to look up the installation documents here before you install control point

Open up Control Point install file as admin on the app server you wish to install control point on and run the exe.
Accept the agreemen
Select install on premises
Answer Yes to UAC pop up. Click Next.
Change the install location to your preferred location (or leave as default)
Select Finish when you get the installation completed check mark
Select Launch ControlPoint Configuration “Yes”
The Control Point configurator is the name of the application. ControlPoint will load up all of the items it needs and then ask:
In this case I needed to activate ControlPoint, so I selected repair ControlPoint. As long as we didn’t create the control point web application this should be listed as configure control point
Make sure to select activate offline and follow the offline activation procedures.
Click next once activated
Wait for System Prereqs Check
Click next
The program will for ask for the sql server name. Give it the alias that should be configured from before. You should get a pop up stating the xc admin db was created successfully.
Now it will ask for the controlpoint web application configuration. Select create web application.
Fill out the appropriate boxes and select next
Select Start Deployment, this part takes a while. Just like it does when creating a web application via Central Administration.
After deployment click next. It will ask to install two services, you have to put in the metalogix password again. Click next after inputing passwords then click start
Click Finish when done. Configure the discovery service with the metalogix account but don’t do the sensitive content service
